That was sooner than expected, but Apple just released a few moments ago the first beta of its upcoming iOS 11.3, macOS 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 operating system, due for release this spring.

Coming just one day after the iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 updates, today's iOS 11.3 beta (15E5167f), macOS 10.13.4 beta (17E139j), and tvOS 11.3 beta (15L5164e) releases are available only for registered developers with a paid and active Apple Developer annual subscription.

They can be downloaded on registered/enrolled devices from your Apple Developer account, along with the Xcode 9.3 beta IDE that includes the latest iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS beta SDKs (Software Development Kits) for developing apps for Apple's iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS ecosystems.

What's coming to iOS 11.3, macOS 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3

Apple already published information about the new features of the iOS 11.3 software update, which include new batter health feature and the ability for users to disable performance throttling, a new Health Records feature, four new Animoji and Business Chat in Messages app, as well as new AR experiences.

On the other hand, the macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 software update appears to deprecate support for 32-bit apps. The update contains a new feature that notifies users when they attempt to launch an app that requires 32-bit software. Developers can test their apps for 64-bit compatibility with a new 64-bit testing mode.

As for the tvOS 11.3 software update, it includes enhancements to Match Content support, automatic frame rate switching on Apple TV 4th generation devices, automatic mode switching for AirPlay video sessions, as well as the ability to skip the Privacy and "Where is this Apple TV" screens during the initial setup.

In tvOS 11.3, Apple TV users will also be able to restrict by rating explicit music and bookstore erotica, movies, apps, and TV shows. Additionally, they can restrict any connections of the Remote app connections to certain iOS devices and update an application when they are in the Single App mode.

While the iOS 11.3, macOS 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 beta releases are currently available only for registered developers, we believe that Apple will also make them available for public beta testing shortly. We'll update this story as soon as the new iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 1013.4, and tvOS 11.3 Public betas are live.

Updated 25/01/2018: On January 25, 2018, Apple released the first iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 Public betas to public beta testers, as well as the first watchOS 4.3 beta to registered developers.
