Following on last week's iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 beta 5 updates, Apple released on Tuesday the fifth macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta to registered developers for testing.

Tagged as build 17D39a, today's macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta 5 update is now available for all application developers that have an active and paid Apple Developer account. It can be installed via the Mac App Store app, from the Updates pane. While Apple didn't shared any info on the improvements, we believe this update fixes more security vulnerabilities and bugs.

Newcomers can also install the latest macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta release by running the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility to download in on their Mac. macOS 10.13.3 beta 5 supports MacBook Late 2009, MacBook Air Late 2010, MacBook Pro Mid 2010, Mac mini Mid 2010, iMac Late 2010, iMac Pro 2017, Mac Pro Mid 2010 or newer.

macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra coming soon with Meltdown/Spectre patches

The macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra update should be out at the end of the month as the first point release to patch the recently unearthed Meltdown and Spectre security vulnerabilities for the masses. We learned earlier this month that the current macOS 10.13.2 update partially protects Macs against these critical exploits.

Along with macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra, Apple also plans to release the iOS 11.2.5, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 updates with various improvements. Meanwhile, we're expecting to see today's fifth macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta relesed for public beta testing as well, as Apple usually pushes the Public beta update a few hours after it seeds the developer beta.

Therefore, we recommend all those running the macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta to update their Macs as soon as possible. Public testers can also jump into the public beta testing bandwagon by following our straightforward tutorial on How to Install macOS High Sierra 10.13 on Your Mac.
