Apple Watch Series 3 and Apple TV 4K could also be unveiled

Sep 12, 2017 10:01 GMT  ·  By

Today, September 12, 2017, Apple has invited the media to a press event where a new iPhone model will be unveiled, along with the final releases of the iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 operating systems.

We expect Apple to unveil the 10th anniversary iPhone model, which could feature wireless charging capabilities, a bigger screen, facial scanning technologies, an all-new and powerful processor, updated camera, and much more. But we could also witness the launch of Apple Watch Series 3 or a new 4K-capable Apple TV.

The new iPhone model is launching with the iOS 11 operating system, which brings a fresh look and cool new features, but you'll also be able to install the iOS 11 update on your device, if it's supported, after the keynote is over. Apple Watch users will also be able to update to watchOS 4, and Mac users to macOS 10.13 High Sierra.

Supported devices for watching Apple's live event

Apple's keynote event is taking place for the first time at the Steve Jobs Theater, at the company's new Apple Park headquarters. It starts at 10:00 a.m. PDT (that's 1:00 p.m. ET or 5:00 p.m. GMT), and will be live streamed on supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, Mac, and Windows devices running Safari or Microsoft Edge.

Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology requires you to use Safari on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device running iOS 9.0 or later, a Mac running macOS 10.11 or higher, a 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV running software 6.2 or later, or a 4th generation Apple TV, as well as a Windows 10 PC with Microsoft Edge.

Here, on our live blog, we will try to cover all the important moments of the event, in real time, with screenshots and comments, as Apple will unveil the new iPhone model, as well as anything else that the Cupertino-based company has in store for us today. Our live blog refreshes automatically, so relax and enjoy!

That's a wrap! Thank you for spending your morning with us and don't forget to check out our news section for in-depth stories about the new devices launched by Apple.
