Apple's offices in South Korea have been reportedly raided earlier this week by the local authorities just ahead of the launch of the 10th anniversary iPhone in several Asian countries on November 24.

London’s Metro reports that South Korean authorities have raided Apple’s headquarter in Seoul, South Korea, ahead of tomorrow's launch of the iPhone X in the country, as well as several other countries across Asia. The newspaper learned that investigators asked questions about the company's business practices.

"The raid is likely to raise questions about whether South Korean authorities are trying to hamper the success of the [iPhone] X, which has sold out across the world," reads Metros's story. "Apple products are wildly popular in South Korea, which is home to several giant tech firms including Samsung and LG."

Their report says that the raid is part of an ongoing probe launched shortly after Apple took action to address South Korean's authorities concern about some "unfair" contracts that the Cupertino company had with other South Korean firms authorized to repair iPhone devices.

iPhone X will be available for purchase on November 24 in Asia

Initially available only for pre-order from the company's online store on October 27, 2017, Apple's latest flagship, the iPhone X, launched in several parts of the world on November 3. Starting today, November 23, the device is available for purchase in Israel, and it's coming tomorrow to more countries.

On Friday, November 24, 2017, customers from Africa, Asia, Europe, Macau, and Middle East, including Albania, Bosnia, Cambodia, Kosovo, Macau, Macedonia, Malaysia, Montenegro, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand and Turkey, will finally be able to purchase an iPhone X from a local Apple Store or Apple Retailer.

iPhone X is also coming next month, beginning December 1, in South America. It will first be available in Colombia starting December 1, and then a week later on Chile on December 7 and Brazil a day later, on December 8. iPhone X is a 5.8-inch smartphone featuring all of Apple's latest technologies to date, including Face ID.
