Apple has updated its App Store statistics page to inform the community of developers about the current adoption rate of the latest iOS 11 mobile operating system.

At the beginning of each month of the year, Apple updates its App Store statistics page to show us on how many devices the latest iOS release is installed, and it looks like the iOS 11 adoption grew by 7 percent, which means that 59 percent of all supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices run iOS 11 compared to 52% last month.

The data was measured by the App Store on December 4, 2017, and the updated chart shows us that 33 percent of devices that were signed into the App Store during the past 30 days still use the older iOS 10 operating system, while only 8 percent are using an earlier version of iOS.

iOS 11.2 is now available with Apple Pay Cash support

The latest version of Apple's iOS 11 mobile operating system is iOS 11.2, which Apple released over the weekend, fixes a critical bug that would make some devices to restart randomly or in a loop on December 2, 2017, and adds Apple Pay Cash money transfer capabilities to iPhone users in the US.

While the iOS 11.2 software update addresses several issues and improves various components and apps, it's still buggy, especially when we talk about battery life, which hasn't improved since the iOS 11.1.2 update released last month. Hopefully, Apple will soon release a minor point update like iOS 11.2.1 to fix battery life.

Several enhancements were also added for iPhone X owners, including some new exclusive wallpapers in the iOS 11.2 software update, which is recommended for all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users. If you haven't updated your devices to iOS 11, do it as soon as possible, as it's more secure than iOS 10.
