14 DAY TRIAL // According to a report from 9to5mac, it would appear that Apple's upcoming iOS 11.3 mobile operating system will let iPhone X owners enable family purchases with the Face ID technology.
Multiple complaints received by Apple from iPhone X owners with children asked the company to allow them to approve family purchases using the new Face ID facial recognition technologies implemented in the 10th anniversary iPhone.
And, with the upcoming iOS 11.3 software update, it would appear that Apple will do exactly that, allow parents with an iPhone X device to enable family purchases for their children or other family members using the biometric authentication of Face ID.
This has now been confirmed by 9to5mac editor Guilherme Rambo, who managed to test the new feature on an iPhone X running the first iOS 11.3 beta that Apple released last week for developers and public beta testers.
The feature works just like with Touch ID, as you have to first enter your Apple ID's password to enable the first approval, and then you'll be asked if you want to use Face ID for future approvals. 9to5mac even posted a video with the new feature in action.

Apple plans to release the iOS 11.3 software update as a semi-major release for all supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices bringing a wide range of new features starting with the promised battery management tools and the ability to disable CPU throttling.
iOS 11.3 will also come with new AR experiences, support for iPhone and iPad users to save messages on iCloud, the ability to sort reviews and view app size info for updates in the App Store, as well as several other improvements and optimizations. iOS 11.3 will be accompanied by macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, tvOS 11.3, and watchOS 4.3.
