Only 24 hours after seeding the Beta 4 update of iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 operating systems to registered developers, Apple today released the third Public Beta of iOS 11, tvOS 11, and macOS High Sierra 10.13.

Coming two weeks after the second Public Beta update, today's Public Beta 3 release of Apple's upcoming iOS 11, macOS High Sierra 10.13, and tvOS 11 operating system is available to public beta testers running the previous version or the one before that, which was announced on June 26, 2017.

The iOS 11 Public Beta 3, macOS 10.13 High Sierra Public Beta 3, and tvOS 11 Public Beta 3 updates include the same set of bug fixes, security patches, and general enhancements that Apple implemented in yesterday's Beta 4 update that it released only to app developers enrolled in the Apple Developer program.

In iOS 11, we got the ability to swipe notifications on the lock screen to clear or view them, a dedicated AirDrop section in Settings with new functionality that was previously available in Control Center, as well as a new Capacity section in the About screen of the Settings app that shows device's total amount of storage.

General UI tweaks, App Store's Updates tab refresh capabilities

Among other changes added in the Public Beta 3 build of iOS 11, we can mention the ability to refresh the Updates tab of the App Store, new icons for the Contacts, Notes, and Reminders apps, new icons for the Contacts and Accounts & Passwords sections in the Settings app, and a redesigned Wi-Fi icon.

The Notes app also received a new splash screen, the Safari icon also appears to be slightly modified, the Timer icon in Control Center was changed as well, the screen recording feature in Control Center now says "Start Recording" instead of "Broadcasting," and there's a new Screen Recording count down animation.

In addition, the Low Power Mode icon animation was changed in Control Center, there's a new mute icon animation on the iPad Control Center, you can now open apps from the lock screen notifications via a new Touch ID user interface, and the iCloud Message sync settings were moved to iCloud preferences.

If you're using the Public Beta 2 release of iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and tvOS 11 on your registered devices, you can now update to the Public Beta 3 update via OTA (Over-the-Air) update system.
