Apple surprised everyone tonight by releasing one last Beta build of the upcoming iOS 10 mobile operating system to both public beta testers and developers enrolled into its Apple Developer program.

Both iOS 10 Public Beta 6 and Beta 7 development milestones are now live for those running any of the previous releases, and you can update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch devices via the built-in updater (Settings -> General -> Software Update).

We believe that this might just be the last Beta builds Apple seeds for its upcoming iOS 10 mobile operating system before the official launch in the first week of September, when the Cupertino company will also announce new, long-anticipated products.

It appears that Apple seeded new Betas only for the iOS 10 operating system, most probably to patch a severe security issue discovered and reported by security researchers since the previous Beta builds.

The next iPhone will be powered by iOS 10

There are a lot of rumors right now about the launch of a new iPhone this fall, which might happen around the date of September 7, but Apple hasn't invited the media to its forthcoming event yet. The next iPhone could be dubbed iPhone 7.

The so-called iPhone 7 smartphone will definitely and without a doubt be powered by the iOS 10 mobile operating system, which will also be available for many of the existing devices on the same day when the launch of the new iPhone takes place.

More details about the launch of the new iPhone and iOS operating system should become available to the press sometime on the last days of August or the first days of September, so right now, we can only dream of a powerful 5-inch smartphone.

Apple will also announce the macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 operating systems for Macs, Apple Watch devices, and Apple TVs respectively, so stay tuned and keep an eye open on our Mac news section for future stories on this matter.
