Following last week's iOS 11.3 and watchOS 4.3 beta 6 releases, as well as yesterday's macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 beta 6 release, Apple seeded today the sixth tvOS 11.3 beta to Apple TV developers.

Tagged as build 15L5211b, the tvOS 11.3 beta 6 software update is now available for registered application developers with a paid and active Apple Developer account. If you're running a previous tvOS 11.3 beta on your Apple TV, you can now update it to tvOS 11.3 Developer beta 6 release via the OTA (Over-the-Air) update system.

On the other hand, if you're new to tvOS beta testing, you can install the latest beta version by downloading the configuration profile from the Downloads section in your Apple Developer account directly on your Apple TV device to receive OTA updates. The tvOS 11.3 release supports both Apple TV 4th generation and Apple TV 4K devices.

What's coming in tvOS 11.3

Apart from the usual bug fixes and security improvements, Apple's upcoming tvOS 11.3 operating system for supported Apple TV devices introduces automatic frame rate switching on Apple TV 4th generation devices, automatic mode switching for AirPlay video sessions, and enhancements to Match Content support.

New device management settings in tvOS 11.3 allow users to restrict explicit music and bookstore erotica by rating, restrict access to the Remote app for certain iOS devices, as well as to restrict apps, movies and TV shows by rating. In addition, users can now skip the Privacy screen during setup and update apps in Single App Mode.

The final tvOS 11.3 release is expected to arrive for all users next week on March 27, 2018, when Apple will hold a special event entitled "Let's Take a Field Trip" at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois, in the U.S., along with the iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, and watchOS 4.3.
