14 DAY TRIAL // Apple released today the sixth betas of its upcoming iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 operating system updates for supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV devices for developers and public beta testing.
Coming a day after the macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta 5 update, the iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 (15D5059a) and tvOS 11.2.5 beta 6 (15K5552a) builds are here almost a week after the fifth beta versions, and, as the development cycle is nearing its end, Apple released them to registered developers and public beta testers alike at the same time.
The new beta builds are available as we speak via the OTA (Over-the-Air) update system for existing users running a previous beta release, and can also be used by newcomers by installing the configuration profile directly on the respective iOS, Apple TV 4K or Apple TV (4th generation) device.
Unfortunately, the release notes remain untouched from last week's betas at the moment of writing, so we can't tell you what improvements or bug fixes Apple added in today's iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 or tvOS 11.2.5 beta 6 releases, which appear to be a bit more stable than previous beta versions, as expected.
iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 are coming soon
As we've stated in our previous reports on the upcoming iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS software updates, Apple plans to release the final versions of the iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 operating systems for all supported devices later this month, as the company promised in the first days of January 2018.
We also hope that Apple will deliver the new battery features it promised earlier this year for iPhone users, as right now we're experiencing disappointing battery life with iOS 11.2.5 on our iPhone 7 unit. We'll let you know if anything changes on this front with today's sixth beta release or not.
