After being in development for the past month, and after Apple seeded a total of four Beta releases to developers and public beta testers since mid-April, the final release of the iOS 9.3.2 mobile operating system is out today, May 16, 2016.

iOS 9.3.2 is the second maintenance release in the stable iOS 9.3 series, and it is now available as a live update for all supported devices (see below for details) running iOS 9.3.1 or 9.3. It's worth noting that it brings various bug fixes, along with security improvements to iPhone and iPad devices.

Being a maintenance release for iOS 9.3, this is not a major update, so it only fixes various audio quality issues with certain Bluetooth accessories that were paired to the new iPhone SE smartphone. It also brings back Night Shift support when the device runs in Low Power mode.

Moreover, iOS 9.3.2 improves the look-up of dictionary definitions, adds better support for the Japanese Kana keyboard, especially when typing email addresses in the Messages and Mail apps, and addresses an issue with the VoiceOver feature, which attempted to switch to a different voice if using the Alex one when announcing spaces or punctuation.

Last but not least, it improves the support for installing custom B2B apps from MDM (Mobile Device Management) servers, and it also patches the glitch that could allow you to speed up your iPhone.

iOS 10 coming later this year, along with iPhone 7

Now that iOS 9.3.2 is out, which is a recommended update for all users running an iOS version from the 9.3 series, we're most certain that Apple will start concentrating its efforts on the next major update for its mobile operating system that powers today's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, iOS 10.

If you've been reading the news lately, you probably already know by now that iOS 10 is in the works. Moreover, a first Beta might be seeded to developers and public beta testers next month, during the WWDC 2016 event that will take place between June 13 and 17. iOS 10 could be released in its final production form later this year, along with iPhone 7.
