14 DAY TRIAL // On the same day it released iOS 9.0.1 with fixes for the "Slide to Upgrade" bug and some other issues affecting iOS 9.0, Apple launched iOS 9.1 Beta 2 for developers.
Although Apple did not provide any details on what changed in this new beta release, we could make an educated guess, considering what had been added in previous betas released at the same time with stable versions, and say that the second beta for iOS 9.1 features the same fix for the bug that plagued iOS devices updated to iOS 9.
Moreover, it should be noted that, once you update your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iOS 9.1, you will not be able to restore it to a previous iOS version.
If you have iOS 9.1 Beta 1 running on your iOS device, you will be able to update to 9.1 Beta 2 by going to Settings > General > Software Update and clicking on the "Download and Install" button, right after the "Checking for Updates" process ends.
Xcode 7.1 Beta 2 also released with support for the iPad Pro and the new Apple TV
If, however, you are running a previous release, you can download iOS 9.1 Beta 2 from Apple's Developer website, after signing in using your Apple Developer account.
Until Apple decides to make public the changes added in the second beta of iOS 9.1, the only thing we know for sure is that the new build is 13B5119e, as displayed on Apple's iOS download page.
The iOS 9.1 Beta 2 release is available for all users enrolled in Apple's Developer program and it can be installed on the following iOS devices: iPhone 4s or later, iPod touch (5th gen), and iPad 2 or later.
Together with the iOS 9.1 Beta 2 and iOS 9.0.1, Apple also released Xcode 7.1 Beta 2 with support for developing applications for its new iPhone and iPad models (i.e. iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, iPad Pro), as well as the new Apple TV.
The Xcode IDE comes with all the frameworks and tools developers require to create applications for OS X, iOS, tvOS and watchOS.
