Apple released today the second public beta versions of its upcoming iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4 operating system updates to public beta testers.

On Monday, Apple seeded the second iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4 betas to registered developers with a paid and active Apple Developer subscription. Now, public beta testers can also install the iOS 11.4 beta 2 and tvOS 11.4 beta 2 updates on their enrolled devices through the Apple Beta Software Program.

Apple also released earlier the second macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta to developers, so we expect to see a second public beta version in the next few hours too. If you want to jump into the iOS, macOS, and tvOS public beta testing bandwagon, don't hesitate to check out our in-depth and straightforward guides (herehere and here).

What's new in iOS 11.4 public beta 2

The iOS 11.4 public beta 2 release contains the same changes as the second developer beta, including Messages in iCloud, which will be automatically enabled for users who activated two-factor authentication and iCloud Backup, as well as bug fixes for AirPlay, Keychain, and the Music app.

The tvOS 11.4 public beta 2 release doesn't seem to include any changes since the first beta. However, we believe Apple will focus mostly on squashing bugs and patching security flaws than adding new features or enhancements in the iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4 software updates, due for release next month.

Until then, if you want to install the iOS 11.4 public beta 2 or tvOS 11.4 public beta 2 on your devices, make sure you follow our tutorials (links above), and always keep in mind that these are beta software, which we don't recommend installing if you want to have a more stable iOS or tvOS experience.
