Apple released today the final versions of the iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 operating system updates for all supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch devices.

The iOS 11.2.5, macOS High Sierra 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 software updates are now available for download, and they are recommended to all users running a previous version of these operating systems, such as iOS 11.2.2, macOS 10.13.2, tvOS 11.2.1, or watchOS 4.2 released by Apple last month or in early January.

To install today's updates, all you have to do is open the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV device, go to the General section and access the Software Updates entry. The new version should be immediately listed there so you can just download and install it. Mac users can install the update from the Mac App Store.

iOS 11.2.5 brings support for HomePod

As expected, the iOS 11.2.5 update brings support for Apple’s upcomig HomePod smart speaker, which will become available early next month on February 9, so you can transfer your Apple ID, Apple Music subscription, Siri and Wi-Fi settings. It also adds support for the Siri intelligent personal assistant to read the news by allowing the user to say "Hey Siri, read the news".

Among the bug fixes, the iOS 11.2.5 update addresses the "chaiOS" bug that could crash your iPhone, a bug that could cause the Phone app to display incomplete info in the call list, a CarPlay issue that would make the Now Playing control unresponsive after changing the tracks multiple times, and an issue that may have caused Mail app notifications to disappear from the Lock screen for certain Exchange accounts.

iOS 11.2.5 also adds the ability for VoiceOver to announce playback destinations and battery levels for your AirPods. Besides the fact that it improves the security and stability of your Mac, the macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 update addresses an issue that could cause Messages conversation to temporarily be listed out of order. On the other hand, the watchOS 4.2.2 update includes improvements and bug fixes.
