Apple released today new development builds of its upcoming iOS 11.1, macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, and tvOS 11.1 operating systems to registered developers and public beta testers alike.

The iOS 11.1 Beta 5, macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, and tvOS 11.1 Beta 4 builds are now available for installation from your Apple Developer account if you're an application developer, but public beta testers can also install the iOS 11.1 Public Beta 5, macOS 10.13.1 High Sierra Public Beta 5, and tvOS 11.1 Public Beta 5 updates on their devices.

To install the macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 Beta 4 or Public Beta 4 (17B45a) update, simply run the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility to download the latest macOS 10.13 beta. On the other hand, the iOS 11.1 Beta 5 or Public Beta 5 (15B93) and tvOS 11.1 Beta 4 or Public Beta 4 (15J5582a) updates can be installed via the OTA update system.

watchOS 4.1 hasn't received a new beta version

This time, Apple didn't update the watchOS 4.1 OS for Apple Watch devices to a newer beta version, the latest being Beta 4 from last week. Same goes for the Xcode 9.1 IDE, which contains the SDKs (Software Development Kits) for the latest iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems.

iOS 11.1 Beta 4/Public Beta 4 users are urged to update to Beta 5/Public Beta 5 as soon as possible on their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch devices, macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 Beta 3 or Public Beta 2 users should update their Macs to Beta 4/Public Beta 4 as well, and tvOS 11.1 Beta 3 users will have to update to Beta 4 on Apple TV 4K or Apple TV (4th generation).

If you're new to iOS, macOS or tvOS public beta testing, you can always rely on our in-depth tutorials (herehere and here). However, we have to warn you not to install beta software on production devices or if you're looking to have a very stable experience using your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, MacBook, iMac, or Apple TV device.
