It's been two weeks since the third Beta development release of the upcoming iOS 10.2, macOS Sierra 10.12.2, watchOS 3.1.1, and tvOS 10.1 operating systems was seeded to registered developers and public beta testers alike, and it's now time for a new one.

While tvOS 10.1 and Xcode 8.2 Beta progress is on hold for now, Apple just seeded the fourth Beta of iOS 10.2, macOS Sierra 10.12.2, and watchOS 3.1.1 to application developers enrolled in the company's Apple Developer program. The new builds are tagged as 14C82 for iOS 10.2 Beta 4, 16C53a for macOS 10.12.2 Beta 4, and 14S879 for watchOS 3.1.1.

As usual, these new Beta versions bring various improvements and bug fixes to several of the built-in apps, including the new TV app that will ship with iOS 10.2 as a replacement for Videos app, such as the implementation of a "Clear Play History" setting for deleting the movies or TV shows you've watched across all of your devices.

Also new in iOS 10.2 Beta 4, you should no longer get frequent alerts to connect your applications to TV, and the correct artwork will be displayed for the content synced in the TV app's library. The macOS Sierra 10.12.2 Beta 4 update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac with new under-the-hood fixes.

Public Beta 4 builds should be available shortly

As with any new Beta release, we expect Apple to push the Public Beta versions to the rest of the world so we can update our devices running the third Public Beta version or a previous one and get all the improvements the Cupertino company prepared for the Beta 4 milestone. Public Beta 4 builds should be available in the next 24 hours.

Update: Only three hours after seeding the Beta 4 builds to registered developers, Apple started seeding the Public Beta 4 update of iOS 10.2 and macOS Sierra 10.12.2 to public beta testers. Check out our latest blog post for more details on how to install the Public Beta 4 release.
