After seeding the third Developer Beta of the iOS 10.1 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices to application developers enrolled in the Apple Developer program, Apple now seeds the Public Beta 3 build as well.

iOS 10.1 Public Beta 3 is now available for supported devices, including the recently launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, for which it implements that new Portrait camera feature that lets users take beautiful photos with bokeh, thanks to the device's dual-camera setup.

On the rest of the supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, the third Public Beta build of the upcoming iOS 10.1 mobile operating system brings various under-the-hood improvements and fixes for some of the most annoyances and issues reported by users since the major iOS 10.0 release.

Here's how to install the iOS 10.1 Public Beta

If you're thinking of joining the public beta testing program, we suggest you don't if you want a very stable and reliable experience. However, if you own a supported iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device that runs iOS 10.0, iOS 10.0.1, or iOS 10.0.2, you can upgrade to iOS 10.1 Public Beta 3 right now by using our in-depth tutorial.

On the other hand, existing users can update their devices from iOS 10.1 Public Beta 2 or a previous release right now by opening the Settings app, going into the General section, and accessing the Software Update entry. You should see there the new iOS 10.1 Public Beta 3, so press the "Download and Install" button to install it.

In related news, Apple also released today the third Developer Beta of the upcoming tvOS 10.0.1 operating system for 4th generation Apple TV devices, along with the Xcode 8.1 Beta 3 IDE (Integrated Development Environment) software that contains all the SDKs of iOS 10.1, macOS 10.12.1 Sierra, watchOS 3.1, and tvOS 10.0.1.
