This was unexpected, but it looks like Apple is almost finished with the development cycle of the upcoming iOS 10 and macOS 10.12 Sierra operating systems, and it has just released the fourth Public Betas to public beta testers.

The Public Beta 4 builds of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra are here, just a few hours after Apple seeded the fifth Betas of iOS 10, macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 3, tvOS 10, and Xcode 8 to developers enrolled in its Apple Developer program.

We said it was unexpected because we don't even remember the last time Apple released a Public Beta a few hours after a Developer Beta, so this can only mean that work on the upcoming operating system is almost over.

Of course, this doesn't mean that these are the last Betas to be made available to public beta testers and developers. There might be just one more before the final releases of iOS 10, macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 10, and tvOS 10 hit the streets.

Final iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 releases coming this fall

When do they hit the streets? Well, that's a very good question, but no one can answer it because Apple never reveals the release schedule of its development cycles. However, considering that they are about to unleash some new iPhone and Apple Watch devices next month, that's when they'll also introduce these new OSes.

So expect to see the final iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 releases this fall, most probably in the first or second week of September 2016. They will be available for all supported devices, so we recommend that you update yours as soon as it's out. As for this new Public Beta, you can now update your devices.
