Users are urged to update their devices immediately

As expected, it didn't take Apple too long to release the sixth Public Beta updates of its forthcoming iOS 11, macOS High Sierra 10.13, and tvOS 11 operating systems to public beta testers after announcing earlier the seventh developer betas.

Including the same tweaks and bug fixes, the iOS 11 Public Beta 6, macOS High Sierra 10.13 Public Beta 6, and tvOS 11 Public Beta 6 updates are now available for download on your registered devices if you're running last week's Public Beta 5 builds. You can update via OTA updates on iOS and tvOS, or Mac App Store on macOS.

We promised you an in-depth article with the new enhancements Apple implemented in these new developer and public betas, but there aren't so many for a new story, at least not on iOS 11, which adds a few Bluetooth improvements, a new volume warning for EU users, and new Apple Music icon in the Control Center.

Public beta testers should update immediately

As you'd have expected, we recommend all public beta testers to upgrade to the Public Beta 6 release of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra 10.13, or tvOS 11 on their registered devices as soon as possible as they patch security issues and fix bugs from previous beta versions. All in all, the new beta should run more smoothly on your devices.

If you're new to iOS, macOS or tvOS public beta testing, you can safely follow our in-depth tutorials (here, here and here) to install the latest available beta version ahead of the final releases, which should lands in early September for all supported devices. We believe it's safe to run a mature public beta release now, but you should be warned that these pre-release versions might still include unpatched security vulnerabilities or bug fixes.
