Apple released today the iOS 11.1.2 update to users of iPhone X smartphones, fixing the unresponsive screen issue that users recently reported with the device.

Last week, there were numerous reports that the iPhone X, Apple's 10th anniversary iPhone, can't be used in cold weather as its device freeze and become unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop. Apple was immediately informed about the issue and today released a software update to fix the problem.

In addition, the iOS 11.1.2 update released today by Apple addresses an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos that were captured with an iPhone X device. Other than that, iOS 11.1.2 contains all the security content of iOS 11.1 and it's available now for all supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices.

If you're the lucky owner of an iPhone X smartphone and you had screen issues in cold weather, there's no better time than now to update your device. The iOS 11.1.2 OTA software update (build 15B202) is now available and you can install it by opening the Settings app and tapping General -> Software Updates.
