Apple released today the fourth beta versions of the upcoming iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5, and watchOS 4.2.2 operating systems to registered developers.

The new beta versions come one week after the third beta milestones that Apple released at the beginning of the year to supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Macs, Apple Watch, and Apple TV devices, and they bring an extra layer of security improvements and bug fixes.

Registered developers with a paid and active Apple Developer account can now download and install the iOS 11.2.5 beta 4 (15D5054a), macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta 4 (17D34a), tvOS 11.2.5 beta 4 (15K5544b), and watchOS 4.2.2 beta 4 (15S5540a) on their enrolled devices.

This time, Apple hasn't updated the release notes of any of these fourth beta releases, so we can only believe that they contain the same security improvements that were implemented in yesterday's iOS 11.2.2 and macOS 10.13.2 Supplemental Update to mitigate the Spectre security vulnerability on supported devices.

iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3 and tvOS 11.2.5 Public Beta 4 coming soon

By now, it's a tradition for Apple to release the public beta builds of the new developer betas in about 24 hours from seeding them to registered developers. Therefore, if you're a public beta tester, expect to receive the iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3 and tvOS 11.2.5 Public Beta 4 builds in the next few hours.

We recommend all users to update their devices to today's beta 4 release for either iOS 11.2.5, macOS High Sierra 10.13.3, tvOS 11.2.5 or watchOS 4.2.2 operating system as soon as possible via the over-the-air (OTA) update system if they want to ensure their devices are protected against Meltdown and Spectre bugs.
