As stated in a press release published on their PR website, Apple has launched their iTunes Movies, Apple Music and iBooks services for their Chinese customers, one day after the Apple Music trial ended for customers in countries where it was previously made available.

With this move, Apple provides their Chinese clients with a simple way to access Apple's entertainment platform to stream music, to rent or purchase movies and to buy books published by Apple on its iBooks Store.

The only requirement to access Apple's online entertainment distribution platform is an Apple ID, which allows one to get unrestricted access to all the music, books and movies Apple stores on their Apple Music, iBooks and iTunes Movies servers.

As Apple's SVP of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue said, “Customers in China love the App Store and have made it our largest market in the world for app downloads.”

Before launching their entertainment streaming services in China, Apple has worked closely with both local and international artists and music experts to provide their Chinese clients with curated content, specially tailored for the Chinese market.

As Eddy Cue also stated, “One of the top requests has been more great content and we’re thrilled to bring music, movies and books to China, curated by a local team of experts.”

Apple Music, iTunes Movies and iBooks are available on all major platforms from launch, with an Android release this fall

Apple Music is an application and streaming service designed to allow users to enjoy their music as they wish, while offline or online. Apple Music also provides artists with a simple way to connect with their fans using the Connect service.

For now Apple Music can be used on any device running OS X, Windows or iOS, and it will also be made available on the Android platform this fall.

Apple's iTunes Movies service can be used via the iTunes Store, and it allows Chinese users to buy or rent the latest Hollywood blockbusters and movies created by local studios such as Huayi Brothers, Bona, and 1905.

To show their appreciation, Apple has also decided to offer the latest Chinese blockbuster, “The Taking of Tiger Mountain,” for free to all Chinese customers for a limited time.

Last on the list is iBooks, Apple's online bookstore comes to China with a wide array of Chinese language books, easily syncable between iOS, OS X and Windows devices using the iCloud service.

Apple Music, iTunes Movies, and iBooks are available today for all music, movie and book fans all over China, with a three-month trial for Apple Music for all users.

Apple Music will come at a price of 10 RMB per month, movies on iTunes will be available at 18 RMB to purchase and 5 RMB to rent, and books start at 0.5 RMB per unit.
