“Just come early,” the company tells iPhone X customers

Apple will start sending the iPhone X to customers who pre-ordered it on November 3, but given all the rumors pointing to constrained initial supply, there are concerns that shipments could be delayed up to several weeks.

And while Tim Cook promised in an interview that the company would do everything that’s possible to get the iPhone X in the hands of customers as fast as possible, the firm does admit that those who want to buy the smartphone from an Apple Store on November 3 will have to “come early.”

in other words, if you’re willing to spend the night in front of an Apple Store you might actually be able to secure an iPhone X, and judging from this statement, this is what the company might be hoping to happen.

iPhone X available in stores

While Apple will never confirm that it wants its lines back, it’s also no secret that the launch of the latest-generation iPhones generated less excitement, so it makes sense for Apple to try whatever it can to advertise its products.

“iPhone X will be available in more than 55 countries and territories, and in Apple Stores beginning Friday, November 3 at 8:00 a.m. local time. Stores will have iPhone X available for walk-in customers, who are encouraged to arrive early,” Apple says.

According to recent reports, Apple will prepare between 2 and 3 million iPhone X units for November 3, as the company has been struggling to deal with production issues caused by complex components like the facial recognition cameras.

In the previous years, Apple sold more than 10 million iPhone units in the first weekend of availability alone, so it’s hard to believe the firm will be able to meet the demand if these rumors prove to be true. According to analysts, production of the iPhone X will reach the desired pace later next month, with more units to arrive in stores in December and January.
