Only iPhone 7, 8, and the 2018 iPhone lineup are available

During today's special event that took place in California at the recently inaugurated Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Apple unveiled three 2018 iPhone lineup and revealed the iPhone models that are still available for sale.

Apple has unveiled three new iPhone models today, the successors of last year's groundbreaking iPhone X, namely iPhone XS, iPhone XS, and iPhone XR, which feature upgraded hardware that includes an all-new A12 Bionic chip, updated front & rear camera lens, as well as dual-SIM support.

Along with the availability and pricing details of the 2018 iPhone lineup, the Cupertino, California-based company also revealed the available iPhone models that will still be sold in-stores at the Apple Stores around the globe, as well as online via the company's Apple Store.

iPhone X, iPhone SE, and iPhone 6s are now officially discontinued

So without further ado, if you missed it during our live blog coverage, Apple is now selling the following iPhone models: iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the brand-new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, which means that the iPhone X, iPhone SE, and iPhone 6s are now officially discontinued.

But the good news is that if you still have an older model, it's now cheaper to upgrade it to either the iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 series as prices for these models start from $499 and $599 respectively. On the other hand, the2018 iPhone lineup prices start from $749 for the iPhone XR, $999 for the iPhone XS, and $1099 for the iPhone XS Max.

The even better news is that, even if they aren't available for sale anymore, all older iPhone models will still be supported by the soon-to-be-released iOS 12 operating system, which hits the streets worldwide beginning next Monday, on September 17, 2018, along with the watchOS 5 and tvOS 12 operating systems.

Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Series 1 also discontinued

Furthermore, the Cupertino, California-based company also discontinued the expensive Apple Watch Edition smartwatch, which Apple unveiled and was available for sale from $1,299.00 to $1,349.00 in two exquisitely engineered ceramic finishes in white or gray variants. The Apple Watch Series 1 was discontinued as well and only the Apple Watch Series 3 remains.

In their place, Apple unveiled today the Apple Watch Series 4, which the tech giant vows to be "fundamentally redesigned and re-engineered to help you stay even more active, healthy, and connected." Apple Watch Series 4 will be available for pre-order September 14, and it'll hit the shelves next week on September 21, 2018.
