In an announcement published on their Developer News and Updates feed that received very little attention, Apple announced that they have issued a search update designed to make it easier to find content in WWDC video published on their Developer support website.

As Apple states in its Developer News post, "now it's easier to discover and share information presented in WWDC videos with our recent search update. You can search a keyword and find all the instances of it mentioned in the videos."

From now on, OS X, iOS, tvOS and watchOS developers will be able to quickly pinpoint relevant information on any subject presented during a WWDC session video published by Apple on developer.apple.com.

The results found within session videos will automatically redirect users to the time the keyword they searched for was mentioned in the video. Furthermore, the time displayed next to each result can be used to share a direct link to the relevant part of the video mentioning the search keyword.

Developers can pinpoint any keyword mentioned during WWDC 2010 to WWDC 2015 using the new search engine

At the moment, Apple provides searchable transcripts to all sessions videos released for WWDC 2010 to 2015, as well as for the Tech Talks 2013 event. The new search also makes it possible to effortlessly filter out the results by platform, with the possibility to choose one or more options out of iOS, OS X, tvOS and watchOS.

The new enhanced search can also be used to find content related to pre-release versions by checking the "Show pre-release" option, after clicking on the "FILTER" roll-over menu under the search field.

Developers can also use a newly added search field under each video session, with the results being displayed right under the playing video for simple and easy navigation.
