On the other hand, PC builds keep landing these days

We’ve known for a while that Windows 10 Mobile isn’t exactly Microsoft’s top priority, but the wait for new Creators Update preview builds is becoming painful, especially because the company keeps releasing PC builds at a really fast pace.

While it’s exciting to see so many PC builds going live these days, the frustration among Windows 10 Mobile users is growing, as new builds not only come a lot slower but also bring very little improvements for devices in the Windows Insider program.

Leaving that new Share icon aside, which everyone is supposed to be super-excited about, Windows 10 Mobile has received only a few improvements lately in anticipation of the stable Creators Update build, and it’s mostly because the focus is on the PC and not on phones. Microsoft told us that the Creators Update rollout would take place on PCs first and phones would follow at a later date, with no specifics available for the time being.

Critical bugs already fixed on PCs

This week has been all about the PC and Microsoft took everyone by surprise with its frequent releases in the Insider program, but on the other hand, Windows 10 Mobile users have once again been left behind.

And it all happened because of an unnamed bug, which Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, says is being tracked down as we speak. In other words, if this bug is repaired in the coming days, a new build should land as soon as next week.

The lack of new Windows 10 Mobile builds leaves users with some critical bugs, including one that makes it impossible to update a number of apps in the Windows Store. This bug also existed on the PC, but got fixed in the latest builds, and there’s no doubt it’ll be fixed on phones too once a new build ships.

In the meantime, users who don’t want to waste time dealing with these bugs can always go back to the stable version of Windows 10 Mobile where everything is supposed to work correctly.
