This year, HTC and Google are expected to launch two Nexus smartphones, which will come with some differences between them, including the fact that one will have a larger display compared to the other.

Images of the upcoming Nexus Sailfish have leaked online recently, showing the handset's design. Renders of the two devices have been surfacing for some time now, and many believe that the phones will have the same design, with the main difference that one will have a larger display than the other.

A new, blurry image has popped up on Twitter, courtesy of leakster @usbfl, revealing one of Nexus smartphones, without mentioning which. The picture shows that the handset will come with a glass back panel and have some metal elements. Some rumors suggest that the upcoming device will be all-metal, but it's too early to say that for sure.

The design of Nexus smartphones is similar to that of HTC One A9

When it comes to the design of the Nexus smartphones, it seems that HTC didn't bother too much to bring new elements, as their front panel is very similar to that of HTC One A9, as suggested by Ron Amadeo.

In fact, the large bezel at the bottom of the device resembles the one on HTC One A9, with the latter housing the fingerprint scanner, which will be placed on the back of Nexus smartphones. The rear panel is quite different, but only because it has the fingerprint scanner put on the upper half.

There seem to be some design similarities between the Nexus phones and HTC One A9, but we won't know for sure until the final product is revealed. That being said, Google is expected to unveil the upcoming Nexus smartphones in the next few weeks, and the devices will run Android 7.0 Nougat and some software improvements.
