Carphone Warehouse will restock the phone next month

It looks like Microsoft's flagship smartphone continues to have issues, even though it was launched a few months ago.

The last retailer that adds to the list of authorized resellers that stopped selling the Lumia 950 XL is Carphone Warehouse.

The UK-based retailer announced that Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has been removed from shelves and will not be available for purchase until late January.

According to blogger Gavin Fabiani-Laymon (via WindowsCentral), Carphone Warehouse stated that “the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has been removed from sale due to issues with phone. The Microsoft 950 XL will go back on sale once revisions made circa 3rd week of January.”

The information provided by the person mentioned earlier comes directly from a Microsoft representative at Carphone Warehouse Plymouth store, so it's as accurate as possible.

Anyway, there is some good news as well, as the rep also stated that the standard Lumia 950 model does not seem to be affected by these issues and will continue to sell through Carphone Warehouse.

Amazon Germany pulled the smartphone earlier this month too

Earlier this month Amazon Germany pulled the Lumia 950 XL from sale due to similar issues that haven't been detailed.

Even so, Microsoft is expected to provide both retailers with Lumia 950 XL stock sometime next year, so Windows Phone fans should be able to buy the flagship smartphone once again.

For the time being, there hasn't been any official word coming from Microsoft that would shed some light on the issues that hit its Lumia 950 XL devices lately.

It's unclear whether these problems are related to the hardware inside the Lumia 950 XL or Microsoft might solve them through software updates in the coming weeks.

If you want to grab the Lumia 950 XL as soon as possible, it looks like Carphone Warehouse might not be your place of shopping anymore.
