The company is absolutely terrible at providing support

Smartphone batteries explode, that's for certain, but the Galaxy Note 7 wanted to prove the world that, in exceptional cases, smartphones can be very dangerous products to use.

Due to faulty batteries, Samsung had to recall its flagship last year and completely and permanently halt production of the Galaxy Note 7. However, the phablet might not be the only Samsung smartphone “blessed” with the tendency to blow up without apparent reason.

Exploding Galaxy S7 edge units made headlines a few times in the last couple of months, something that probably had many customers who purchased the smartphone worried.

Well, it appears that the saga continues, as another Samsung Galaxy S7 edge exploded while charging. Reddit user aylbert claims his Galaxy S7 edge fried itself on the inside while charging on a Samsung fast charge wireless pad.

Burning like there's no tomorrow

He's heard a pop, a hiss, and that was it. Smoke started rising from the smartphone and a heavy smell of burnt electronics has started to fill the room.

Of course, that's a big issue, but what's worse is the fact that Samsung hasn't even bothered to ask for the smartphone and check for possible faults. The owner of the Galaxy S7 edge has called Samsung a couple of times, but they didn't seem to help at all.

I immediately called my phone provider who put me on with Samsung support. They weren't helpful at all. I chatted with the support team on twitter; who were pretty helpful to start. Since then, pretty silent. I've received an e-mail and two phone calls asking for the same info I've already sent... good thing I have a work cell I use (which is an iPhone),” says Reddit user aylbert.

If you had any doubt that Samsung is absolutely terrible at providing support, here is your proof. We can't even imagine what will happen if even one Galaxy S8 will explode soon after the phone's market launch.
