After resurrecting #OpCanary two days ago, Anonymous hackers are continuing their defacement spree with a new rickroll of another corporation, this time of Kenya Petroleum Refineries Limited, as part of their #OpAfrica campaign, operation that also has an anti-corporations component.

As we explained in our previous article on #OpCanary two days ago, this Anonymous op started years ago and was (and still is) a method through which the hacker collective wants to bring to light the various abuses of local governments and big-name corporations, all for their insatiable quest for profits. Many of these principles have also been applied to #OpAfrica, a more recent endeavor started this past winter.

Two days ago it was a Canadian mining company, today is a Kenyan petroleum company, which, according to its website, was set up by Shell and the British Petroleum Company (BP) to serve the East African region in the supply of a wide variety of oil products.

Currently, Kenya Petroleum Refineries Limited has been sold to the Indian-based multinational corporation Essar Group, after previously also being a Chevron subsidiary.

Just like two days ago, Anonymous didn't breach the site's database or steal anything from its backend, but only defaced one of the website's pages, leaving a video of the infamous Rick Astley "Never Gonna Give You Up" song.

An international sign of trolling, the song serves as a reminder for the site's admins that their website is insecure enough to allow hackers to write code to its pages.

It's all fun and games for Anonymous, especially if it's at the expense of big corporations. As you can see from the screenshot below, the defacement took place today, March 29, at 13:50.
