Hacker takes down sites for EFF & ZANU-PF political parties

The same hacker that carried out DDoS attacks on the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) last weekend for news censorship practices came back today with new attacks on the EFF and ZANU-PF, two black nationalist political parties in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The hacker launched simple DDoS attacks that took down the official websites of these two organizations. At the time of writing, the EFF site is back online, while the ZANU-PF website is still down.

In statements made via Twitter, the hacker accused the two political parties of having a racist agenda.

Known as Zim4thewin, the hacker has carried out similar DDoS attacks against the EFF last week before launching the SABC DDoS attack that brought his actions into the public light.

Hacker opposes the rise of EFF in South Africa's political ranks

The EFF (Economic Freedom Fighter) is a black nationalist and socialist political party in South Africa. The group's goal is to win the majority in the country's African National Congress (ANC) so it could implement its main agenda.

The group's leaders have many times stated in public that they want to expropriate lands stolen by white people and give it back to the black population. Further, the EFF also wants to nationalize the country's mining and banking sectors.

The group, which is South Africa's third-largest political party, has a similar agenda with the ZANU-PF (Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front) party that's been ruling Zimbabwe since 1980. In the 80s, ZANU-PF has seized large farms owned in most cases by the white minority and redistributed to the black population.

Hackers sees the two parties as agents of evil

"ZANU-PF are corrupt to the core and responsible for the genocide of 20 000 Ndebele that Mugabe and those involved still have to account for," the hacker told Softpedia. "The EFF are racist thugs. They are a black version of the Nazi party."

"Both the ANC and the EFF have troll army," Zim4thewin tells Softpedia about the recent harassment he's subjected to by various people on Twitter. "Where the ANC troll army appears to be paid for by Gupta money, the EFF one is made up of volunteers that do not know any better. Both have been attacking us non-stop."

"Their points almost always have to do with race! They are either attacking people for not being black enough or attacking people for being white," the hacker said.

Softpedia has also asked Zim4thewin if there's any connection between the recent DDoS attacks and the previous ones on SABC. "Not really," he said, "just focusing on the bad in the country. No connection other than both the SABC and EFF are terrible for the future of this country."

"Today we are playing with the Guptas, we are giving them a 'Waterkloof high five'. Their commercial website that makes them money, sahara.co.za is currently offline," Zim4thewin added, detailing his current operations. " They have been selected for attention because of the injustice they have done to South Africans that still has not being answered."

Below are a series of tweets from Zim4thewin, in which he gives his viewpoint on the EFF and ZANU-PF's political agendas.
