Samsung’s Z3 handset might come pre-installed with the game

Samsung has embarked on a path most device makers have stayed clear off until now. The Korean tech giant has developed its own home-grown operating system called Tizen OS, which is currently powering the Z1 smartphone.

The handset launched back in January 2015, and since then it has reportedly sold over a million units. But those acquiring the device are in for a pretty terrible smartphone experience. The operating system has very few apps and it has a lot of quirks that might seem really odd, (for example, home pages won’t display apps, just widgets), especially if you're used to Android.

Ever since its inception, Samsung has been struggling to convince devs that Tizen is worth developing for, and the company might be making some progress into that direction.

A Samsung US official has just announced on his Twitter page that Rovio, maker of the popular Angry Birds game, has confirmed that the game will soon be made available for the platform.

Tizen will soon be getting a very popular app

Angry Birds (its several versions) is already available for Android and iOS, so it will be pretty exciting to see it land on Tizen too. However, we haven’t been provided with a specific timeframe for when this will happen. We can only speculate that the game will be made available as Samsung releases its next-gen Tizen-powered smartphone into the wild, the Z3.

According to reports online, the Z3 will be introduced in Russia sometime this year, but it appears that other European countries will get it too. The list contains territories like Germany, France, Poland and the UK, and others might be added to the list at a later date.

If you aren’t familiar with the story, the Samsung Z3 will be a nice upgrade over the previous Z1. First of all, it will come with Tizen 3.0 right out of the box, and who knows, maybe even with Angry Birds pre-installed. Also, it will sport a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and a more than decent 2,600 mAh battery.

Samsung Z3 is said to pack a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. On the back, the phone should feature an 8MP photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while on the front there will be a 5MP selfie camera.
