Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt already have one of the most famous broods in Hollywood (if not in the entire world), consisting of 3 adopted children and 3 of their own. They’re about to add another member to it soon, as they have decided to adopt a little Syrian boy Angelina met on her travels.

On one of her most recent solo trips, part of her work responsibilities as a UN ambassador, Angelina met 3 orphan brothers whose father had been “taken away by Syrian soldiers and their home was also bombed,” an insider reveals for Radar Online. Their mother was killed in the bombing.

The child she wants to adopt next is one of these 3 boys.

Angelina and Brad are adding to the family

According to the report, which is sourced to the usual unnamed but admittedly reliable insider, Angelina decided that she wanted to adopt all 3 orphan boys she met almost on the spot. She was deeply moved by their tragic story, which she learned straight from them: the middle child could speak some English.

“The oldest of the three was very quiet but never left Angie’s side during the visit,” says the insider, hinting that he is the one who will be adopted by the actress. “It has been a very long process to adopt the Syrian orphan. The red tape has been almost impossible at times. It could take at least another four to five months before the child is brought to the United States.”

However, before the proceedings started, Angelina first had to talk it over with her husband, who was opposed to the idea that they adopt all 3 brothers, so as to not break their little surviving family unit apart.

Brad told her that jumping from 6 to 9 children would be too much, not to mention potentially traumatic on the kids. Their solution of “compromise” was to file for adoption for just one of the orphans.

Making it work

In many of their recent interviews, Brad and Angeline spoke about what it took to be two of the biggest actors in Hollywood and, at the same time, almost hands-on parents to their 6 children.

The solution that they found worked for them was to always make sure at least one was at home with the kids while the other one worked. So they never picked movies to shoot at the same time.

This allowed the parent left to babysit to travel with the kids and visit the working parent on location, and it also ensured a stable environment for the children. Brad often joked that he loved the chaos that set in the house whenever he was in charge of the babysitting, and even said that it beat the thrills of being a movie star in all respects.
