14 DAY TRIAL // The leader of the Android-x86 project has just announced that he has entered a partnership with Jide Technology, the creators of the already famous Remix OS.
Remix OS rose to fame back in January when it captured a lot of attention with its interesting adoption of Android-x86, which is a vanilla implementation of the Android operating systems for the PC. Even if it's still being developed, Remix OS does a lot of things properly, and it managed to cover a lot of ground in a very short amount of time.
Android-x86 has been around for some time, and the project originally started more like a personal endeavor of Chih-Wei Huang. It's been through a few iterations already, but only now the market has noticed the awesome potential of this Linux distribution that can bring the Android experience to PC users.
Android-86 and Jide Technology
Right from the start, the guys from Jide Technology acknowledged the immense contributions of Android-x86 to their own project, and it seems that it hasn't gone unnoticed.

This partnership is a natural fit since we both strive to make Android PCs a reality. Remix OS seeks to create a familiar experience for Android users in a PC environment, and the Android-x86 Project has laid the foundation for this to happen," said the Android-x86 lead, Chih-Wei Huang.
Don't fret about the future of Android-x86, because it doesn't mean that things will change for the users of this particular Linux distribution. In fact, things will remain pretty much the same, but Chih-Wei Huang will help the guys from Jide to better implement the distro. In turn, Jide will submit patches to Android-x86, so it's a win-win situation.
