Google plans to push Android Wear 2.0 to as many customers as possible this year, as the search giant teamed up with many companies to release many smartwatches in the next couple of months.

Moreover, the Mountain View company is expected to launch its own Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches, which will be built by LG: Watch Sport and Watch Style.

According to previous rumors, Google was supposed to launch Android Wear 2.0, as well as the two smartwatches, on February 9. However, it appears that something happened and the search giant moved the release day up a day.

Evan Blass claims Android Wear 2.0 and both the smartwatches will now be launched on February 8, one day earlier than previously expected. Obviously, that's great news for those who own smartwatches that have been confirmed to receive Android Wear 2.0 as an update soon after release.

Here they are: Moto 360 Gen 2, Moto 360 Sport, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, LG Watch Urbane, LG G Watch R, Polar M600, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, Nixon Mission, Tag Heuer Connected, Fossil Q Wander, Fossil Q Marshal, Fossil Q Founder, Michael Kors Access Bradshaw Smartwatch, Michael Kors Access Dylan Smartwatch, Huawei Watch, Huawei Watch Ladies, Asus ZenWatch 2, and Asus ZenWatch 3.

The first Android Wear smartwatches launched by Google

Aside from Android Wear 2.0, Google and LG will also introduce their first smartwatches powered by the new platform: Watch Sport and Watch Style. They are rumored to go on sale the next day for $350 and $250, respectively.

Both smartwatches have been confirmed to feature deep Google Assistant integration, along with IP68 and IP67 certifications for dust and water resistance.

They also come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions, but the Watch Sport adds cellular connectivity (3G and LTE support), GPS and NFC (Near Field Communication) into the mix.

Heart rate sensor, Android Pay support, untethered telephony support with the phone number of the user's main smartphone, as well as iOS compatibility, will be available too.
