Google has just released the Android Nougat Developer Preview 5, which is the last developer preview to be provided to users before the official unveiling of Android Nougat 7.0. This developer preview comes with a really interesting and exciting Easter Egg, aside from other useful features that developers will surely benefit from.

Besides this, the developer preview also comes with some really neat features that are meant to improve the user experience.

According to a user from Google+, when someone accesses the app's information page on the smartphone running Android Nougat 7.0, the page will show whether the application was installed from Google Play Store or through the device's package manager, specifically, through a third-party APK.

While this doesn't seem like much, it remains a very useful feature that would allow users to filter between beta versions of apps and final builds.

Another neat feature that Google implemented regards the camera app, according to Venture Beat. Normally, when hitting volume buttons in the camera app, the keys actuate the shutter and take a picture.

With the new update, users will be able to assign actions to volume buttons. They can zoom in by pressing up on the volume key or zoom out with the volume down button. The buttons can also be used for controlling the volume.

The features should be included in the public rollout of Android Nougat 7.0, which is set to arrive later this summer. Android Nougat Developer Preview 5 should work on Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus 9G, Nexus Player, Pixel C, or General Mobile 4G (Android One) devices.
