Many users have already received the update

HTC was bragging until last year that it was among the first OEMs to provide major Android OS updates as soon as Google released them. However, companies like Motorola and LG have made important progress towards bringing new Android versions to their devices quickly.

The good news is HTC continues to try to provide its customers with these Android updates as fast as possible, and Android 7.0 Nougat is no exception to the rule. The major upgrade was rolled out to the company's flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, back in November.

Many carriers across the globe have already deployed the update after testing it, including US-based network operator T-Mobile. Strangely enough, earlier this week, HTC announced that it had to halt the rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the HTC 10 due to some unforeseen issues.

According to a new report, HTC Germany posted the information on the company's official Facebook page letting customers know that, if they own the HTC 10, then they would have to wait a while longer until Android 7.0 Nougat update finds them.

Sadly, no additional details on what bugs could have possibly prevented the rollout to continue have been revealed, but they must be serious if the Taiwanese handset maker had to put it on hold.

HTC has also stated that its engineers are working diligently to address these issues and resume the deployment of the Android 7.0 Nougat update to all HTC 10 units.

One other thing that hasn't been clarified yet is whether the update was put on hold in Germany only, or the announcement applies to all HTC 10 devices across the globe which haven't yet received Android 7.0 Nougat.

In any case, if your HTC 10 hasn't been upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat, then you should expect some delays caused by these “unexpected software bugs.”
