Voice actor Nolan North might have just offered the first batch of information about the Star Wars-based video game that is being developed at the Visceral Games studio under the leadership of well-known director Amy Hennig.

During a panel at Metrocon, he is quoted by PC Gamer as revealing that, while he is not actually working on the title, he knows that it will use the core template of Uncharted, with gamers able to explore a range of environments while also engaging in combat.

North states, "If you're a big fan of Amy Hennig and her style of story, she's gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted. I happen to know a lot about it, and it's going to be awesome."

The Visceral Games project has not yet been officially announced by publisher Electronic Arts, which probably means that it will only be launched at some point in 2017.

Rumors have said that the new Star Wars experience will be open world and will take the universe to some unexpected places.

Apparently, the new experience also shares some elements with the canceled Star Wars 1313, which LucasArts was working on before being acquired by Disney.

The future of Star Wars is linked to Electronic Arts

An official look at the Visceral Games project might be offered before the end of the year.

BioWare is also rumored to be working on a Star Wars video game, other than The Old Republic, which might be linked to the movies that will follow The Force Awakens.

Fans of the universe who are looking forward to the launch of the new movie will also be able to get access to Star Wars: Battlefront on November 17 of this year.

DICE is creating a multiplayer-focused experience that will allow gamers to side with either the Rebels or the Imperials and experience all the battles that were shown or mentioned in the original film trilogy.

The Battle of Jakku DLC will be introduced for those who pre-order on December 1, and the rest of the community will get access to it one week later.
