Users complained about noisy pump block, AMD listened

After numerous complaints and feedback from users that received the initial pre-order batches of the card, that a powerful high-pitched noise could be heard caused by the pump block, AMD has decided in changing the design.

The "high pitched whine" heard from the pump block is reported to be missing after the new models became available to retailers, according to the newer owners.

The early reviews of the graphics card were complaining about a coil noise that many predicted that won't be fixed until some custom versions of the card would be available on the market. Apparently, the loud whine noise came from the pump block part of the AiO liquid cooling. In this regard, AMD worked with Cooler Master, the manufacturer of the cooling solution, fixing it and eliminating the annoying sound.

Unfortunately, users mentioned that there's no way to spot the revised version because of the lack of any visual clues on the main front plate. Users will have to unscrew the card and hope that they have the new cooling system installed.

According to Fudzilla, once the plate is off the new revised cooling system has a bicolor green and white "Cooler Master" logo on front of the card instead of the previous green chromed sticker badge.
