AMD has announced the availability of its new 15.12 Radeon Software Crimson Edition Graphics driver, and along with this release, the producer has also provided the Chipset driver and RAIDXpert Utility.

This new graphics package fixes the high idle power usage on Windows 7, the snow flickering and sky rendering issues spotted in Star Wars: Battlefront, as well as the texture corruption, experienced while playing Just Cause 3.

In addition to that, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 poor Crossfire performance is resolved, Star Wars: Battlefront shadowy textures won’t be visible anymore, and Fallout 4 compass flickering is fixed during gameplay on AMD Radeon R9 390 series products.

However, take into account that the producer still investigates this latter problem on its AMD Radeon R9 290 and AMD Radeon R9 295X2 series products.

Moving forward, AMD Overdrive issues are resolved, Chinese language font size won’t be too small, and problems spotted on Windows 7 with Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional languages are now history.

Still, bear in mind that AMD’s 15.12 Crimson Edition update might experience various errors while playing certain games or running some applications. Make sure to read the complete Release Notes below.

As for compatible OSes, the graphics driver, as well as the other two available downloads are suitable for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems.

Last but not least, there is also a web-based installer available that automatically downloads and applies the minimum required AMD driver components for your system. However, an internet connection is required for using this file.

That said, download AMD Radeon Crimson Edition Driver 15.12, run it, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen. Also, don’t forget to perform a system reboot to make sure all changes take effect properly.
