AMD has announced the availability of a new version for its Radeon Crimson Edition Graphics driver, namely the 16.2 beta hotfix, which implements various performance and quality improvements for Rise of the Tomb Raider and Ashes of the Singularity.

In addition to that, the present update adds Crossfire profiles for The Division and XCOM 2 titles, and resolves several corruptions, stuttering, screen tearing, TDR errors, and flickering problems spotted while playing Fallout 4 or Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Besides these game improvements, AMD’s release also resolves the black screen/TDR error encountered with Intel + AMD graphics system, fixes the display corruption observed in certain situations, and removes and won’t display FRTC options on unsupported laptop configurations.

Last but not least, users won’t experience choppy gameplay when both AMD Freesync and Crossfire are enabled, and the AMD Overdrive memory clock slider will show original clock values even on overclocked settings.

However, bear in mind that this version might still experience certain issues with Star Wars: Battlefront, Fallout 4, XCOM 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and a few other game titles, as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to compatibility, AMD has made available several packages compatible with almost all its GPU models running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, either bit architecture.

That said, download AMD Radeon Crimson Graphics Driver 16.2 Beta Hotfix compatible with your system configuration, apply it, and make sure to perform a reboot to allow all fixes and improvements to take effect properly.
