This item could be “faulty,” Amazon explains

Microsoft launched the Lumia 950 XL with much fanfare, and a lot of Windows Phone fans have rushed to buy it in the first days of availability. However, it appears that the device might have a number of issues that not only forced many to return them but also made retailers pull some units completely.

Amazon Germany has recently stopped selling the Lumia 950 XL because of what could be issues impacting a number of devices.

A notification posted on the website reveals that the Lumia 950 XL is no longer available at Amazon in the country and informs that the phone will be further inspected to see if there's any chance to put it up for sale or not.

“ITEM IS BEING INSPECTED. This item is available from various Marketplace resellers but not from Amazon.de. Customers have reported that the items in stock might be faulty or not according to their description on the website. We are working on a fix for this problem. This item might be available through a different reseller,” the notification reads, as reported by DrWindows.

Demo units pulled from Microsoft stores

As we've told you in our Lumia 950 XL review, the build quality of the device isn't really top-notch, as you'd expect it to be on a $700 device, but it's not yet very clear if this is the reason Amazon Germany decided to stop selling the device.

On the other hand, back in October, Microsoft itself pulled Lumia 950 XL demo units from some stores and sent them back to the company for what was said to be a secret issue impacting these devices.

Redmond has never confirmed an issue on its Lumia 950 XL, and the company is hard at work as we speak to roll out new firmware versions and OS updates to improve performance, stability and reliability. In the meantime, there seem to be more of those who decide to return their phones because of various issues, including poor battery life and slow performance.
