The amaroK Team is working very hard right now to bring you a new and improved version of their free music player, version 1.4, which is now at Beta3. Most likely, there will be also a RC, followed by the major release itself.
Most of the music on the amaroK LiveCD has been provided by Magnatune, which is a revolutionary music label which aims to reinvent the music business, applying the lessons learned from the open source movement to the recording industry. Fair use, remix rights, and musicians actually being paid!
Free means freedom. amaroK is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License. Magnatune uses open licensing so that both customers and musicians get a fair deal. Half of every Magnatune sale goes to the artist!
