14 DAY TRIAL // Xiaomi has recently released a teaser revealing that the upcoming premium smartphone Mi 6 will be announced on April 19, during an event at the University of Technology in Beijing, China. Now, leaked images reveal interesting details about the upcoming smartphone.
A new set of images leaked out showing the Xiaomi Mi 6 from multiple angles and revealing the smartphone’s design. The pictures revealed by SlashLeaks seem to confirm the fact that the Mi 6 won’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. .
The smartphone will have a USB Type-C port and speaker grills at the bottom, together with a dual-camera setup at the top left corner of the back panel. In addition, antenna lines can be seen at the bottom and the sides of the smartphone, while the home button is visible at the front, possibly housing the fingerprint sensor.
Snapdragon 835 and 5.15-inch display on the Mi 6
The device also appears to have a flat display, possibly with a size of 5.15 inches and Full HD resolution. The Mi 6 is rumored to run Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 platform and come with 4GB of RAM, together with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
Another variant features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. When it comes to the rear camera on the new device, it should have a 19MP Sony IMX400 sensor, while an 8MP unit will be found on the front. The standard Mi 6 is expected to draw power from a 3200mAh battery, while the larger Mi 6 Plus will feature a 4,500mAh battery and come with a 5.7-inch Full HD display.
The same Snapdragon 835 platform will run on the Mi 6 Plus, while RAM capacity will reach 6GB and internal storage will be 64GB, 128GB or 256GB, depending on the market. The main camera will feature a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor and have an 8MP sensor in the front. In terms of pricing, the Mi 6 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory will possibly cost up to $376, while the Mi 6 Plus will have a price tag reaching up to $535.
