File this under rumors since the source has not revealed the name of the device shown in these pictures. However, there's a strong possibility that the chassis in these photos might belong to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7.

The new images have been recently spotted on Weibo (via GforGames) and show what appears to be the insides of the Samsung Galaxy S7.

The person leaking the pictures claims they are of a “not yet released flagship phone” and encourages Weibo readers to take a guess.

Since there aren't many other smartphones available on the market that would feature a Galaxy S6-like design, there's a high chance that this is the chassis of the Galaxy S7 that we've reported on quite a lot in the last couple of weeks.

Samsung fans who have decided the company's new approach on the Galaxy S lineup is a step in the right direction will be pleased to know that Galaxy S7 will feature a design similar to the one of its predecessor.

One other reason the South Korean company might have to change very little when it comes to design is the need to cut costs on production.

Obviously, that's not a bad thing as long as Samsung continues to improve on other areas, such as performance, camera, fingerprint sensor, display, and more.

At least two other Galaxy S7 models might be launched

Aside from the standard Galaxy S7, Samsung is expected to launch at least one other smartphone in the same series, the Galaxy S7 Plus.

Rumor has it that an edge variant of the Galaxy S7 might be announced early next year as well, which would increase the number of Galaxy S7 models to three.

The bad news for Samsung is that the Galaxy S7 Plus with its 5.7- or 6-inch display will certainly eat from Galaxy Note series' sales.

The next flagship smartphone coming from Samsung will be revealed in February 2016, during MWV 2016 trade fair, but we expect more info on the smartphone to emerge until then, so stay tuned.
