Lenovo has yet to announce the Tab3 8 Plus tablet, but it seems that the device recently appeared on Geekbench. The tablet carries the code number TB-8703F and the listing did reveal some specs for the upcoming device.

It appears that Lenovo’s upcoming Tab3 8 Plus could come with an 8-inch display with 1080p Full HD resolution. The tablet might be running an octa-core 2.02GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset, built using the 14nm process size which provides head reduction, increased power efficiency and performance compared to previous chipsets.

Moreover, the tablet might come with 3GB of RAM and Lenovo is said to out two variants of the Tab3 8 Plus, one with 32GB of internal storage and the other with 64GB of memory. Both variants will support microSD cards for adding more storage. The tablet recorded a 935 score during the single-core test and 4667 during the multi-core test.

4,250mAh battery and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box

Lenovo’s upcoming Tab3 8 Plus appears to draw power from a 4,250mAh battery and could run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Considering that the device features relatively recent and powerful specs, Lenovo will most likely push out an Android Nougat software update soon after the release.

The Tab3 8 Plus will most likely come in two models based on connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and LTE variants. Images of the tablet leaked a few months ago, while rumored specs also include an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The tablet is also said to feature support for Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity.

The release date is unknown at this point, but Lenovo will hold a press conference during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, which will be the perfect opportunity to announce a new tablet. The Tab3 8 Plus is part of Lenovo’s mid-range series of tablets, with the YOGA line being the premium ones.
