Huawei is launching phones in a frenzy these days

So far, 2015 seems to have been one great year for Huawei, who has been constantly on the rise. The Chinese phone maker has dethroned Microsoft as the world’s third handset maker, but there are more great things in sight.

Just yesterday, Huawei and Google announced the Nexus 6P, which is the first device from the Nexus family to come with a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner. Working with Google constitutes an important milestone for Huawei, who built quite the luxury phone for the search giant.

But the company is also interested in producing upper-level mid-range products, like the Honor 5X, which popped up the other day in TENAA, the successor to last year’s Honor 4X.

Well, a new report coming out of G for Games this week reveals that the handset has been spotted in the AnTuTu benchmarking app, where it revealed most of its specs.

The Honor 5X features worth specs

While yesterday we merely speculated on the specs of the device, today we are able to give you more concrete information. The Honor Play 5X is bound to arrive with a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution) display alongside a Snapdragon 615 chipset working in combination with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The phone will also take advantage of a 13MP main camera plus a 5MP frontal shooter for selfie taking activities.

However, the phone does have an important attraction, it’s made of metal. It should also bring about a fingerprint scanner. The Honor 5X will launch with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, but at this point, there’s no way of telling whether the phone will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow or not.

At the moment, we really don't have any idea when the phone will be released to the public, but given the fact that it has been certified by TENAA, we shouldn't be left waiting for long.

Huawei is also readying the Honor 5X Play model, which will supposedly make it out on the market on October 10. It might be joined by the Honor 5X too, if we're lucky.
