Even though Microsoft doesn't plan to launch any new Windows 10 Mobile devices at Mobile World Congress 2016, some of its OEM partners might do so.

Alcatel OneTouch is expected to unveil several Android smartphones at the trade fair, as we had already reported last week.

However, it looks like the company has a Windows 10 Mobile in the pipeline, WMPU reports. The unannounced smartphone is called Alcatel OneTouch Idol Pro 4 and is supposed to be unveiled at MWC 2016 or a few weeks later.

Unlike the OneTouch Fierce XL, which is already available for purchase in the United States, the Idol Pro 4 is a high-end smartphone that includes much better specs.

No Quad HD display but Continuum for Phones is supported

Although the OneTouch Idol Pro 4's display will support full HD (1080p) resolution, not Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels), the smartphone will be powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

There's no mention of RAM or storage amount, but the report claims the smartphone will feature Continuum for Phones support, which isn't surprising considering its high specs.

Also, Alcatel OneTouch Idol Pro 4 is rumored to come with Reset Protection feature, which is not yet available on all Lumia mid- or high-end smartphones.

Last but not least, the Windows 10 Mobile handset will be offered in the United States at T-Mobile, just like the OneTouch Fierce XL. No word on price and availability yet.

In other news, Alcatel OneTouch Idol Pro 4 won't be the only “superphone” powered by Windows 10 Mobile expected to arrive in the coming months.

HP Elite X3 is another flagship smartphone that's supposed to be released very soon and judging by the rumored specs, it will be more powerful than Alcatel's.
