14 DAY TRIAL // Alcatel OneTouch is one of those handset makers that never miss an electronics trade fair, so you can rest assured that the Chinese company will be present at this year's Mobile World Congress.
It's been less than a month since Alcatel OneTouch officially unveiled its first Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, the OneTouch Fierce XL, at CES 2016, and the company has a few more devices in the pipeline.
The folks over at AndroidCentral have just uncovered two budget-friendly Android devices on Alcatel OneTouch's support webpage. Both phones have yet to be announced, but we expect them to be showcased later this month at MWC 2016.
The first one, Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4, sports a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
The smartphone comes equipped with a 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, paired with an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM (it depends on the model).
Both come with octa-core CPUs, 3GB RAM
The OneTouch Idol 4 has been confirmed to pack a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
A microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB) is included as well, along with 16GB of internal memory and a 2,160 mAh battery.
Next in line, Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4S sports a slightly larger 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
The high-end smartphone will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
On the back, OneTouch Idol 4S will boast a 16-megapixel camera while on the front the smartphone should feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
No word on pricing options yet, but we can safely assume that more details on their availability and cost will be unveiled later this month, at MWC 2016, so stay tuned.
