Alcatel has prepared a presentation at IFA 2016, during which it has introduced the POP 4 tablets as well as the POP 4 and the SHINE LITE smartphones to the world.
Alcatel has stated that the new devices “deliver a best-in-class music and entertainment experience on mobile with a super-sleek design at an affordable price.” Alcatel POP 4 comes with 4G LTE connectivity and advanced audio enhancements for an immersive audio-visual experience for users.
Alcatel POP 4 comes in three sizes available with 10-inch, 7-inch, and 6-inch displays. They boast MaxxAudio technology by Waves. It’s also worth knowing that the three Alcatel tablets have different specs when it comes to connectivity options and processor model.
Alcatel POP 4 10-inch variant packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 processor and LTE CAT.4 while the 7-inch variant has the same processor model as the 6-inch one, with an octa-core MediaTek MT6755. The 7-inch model comes with LTE CAT.4 while the 6-inch one with LTE CAT.6 connectivity option.
Alcatel has also announced the SHINE LITE and POP 4 smartphones
The tablets come with IPS HD or FHD displays, depending on the model. There are also dual front speakers on the 10-inch model, and you'll also benefit from ”Auto select” technology that automatically finds the best optimization setup for playing music based on genre.
The POP 4G smartphone will also provide you with a 6-inch display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset, a 3,500mAh battery, and support for LTE CAT.6. Rear camera capacity should reach 13MP with dual LED flash, together with a 5MP front camera for selfies. Aside from this, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back. The tablets and smartphone will be launched in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Alcatel has also debuted the SHINE LITE with a 5-inch HD IPS display and a 13MP camera on the back, with dual-tone flash. Front camera capacity reaches 5MP, and the smartphone is expected to carry a price tag of €199. It will be made available in Europe, Asia, and the US this month.
